Creating new and interesting VEGETARIAN breakfasts for my guests.
Having just said goodbye to a lovely couple who are both vegetarians I now realise how easy it is to make a knock out breakfast for either vegans or vegetarians. So nutritious and colourful and oh so tasty. Breakfast they say is the most important meal of the day, and being a B&B owner I suppose I have to agree! It sets up my guests for whatever plans they have for the day ahead of them.Yesterday the couple who checked out were setting off to walk the local fells and with a 10 mile hike circular ahead of them. I was happy to know their tummies were full and after a very comfortable night sleep they were ready to assault the mountains!
I have another couple booked in this weekend who are doing the C2C and one of them is vegan. I asked him to let me know the sort of food he likes as it’s so important my guests have an experience at Gate House to remember. I emailed him a menu with a selection of options for breakfast he decided upon avocado, bean, tomato and jalapeño peppers on multi seeded toast which I’m looking forward to preparing. The C2C route to Rookhope will be much easier with some healthy fuel to start the day.
I’m a great believer in selecting fresh, locally sourced products and catering for the needs individually for all my guests. While most people are looking forward to the treat of a traditional full english, some prefer lighter options. At Gate House B&B whatever your preference, nothing is too much trouble, just ask! 🙂
